As you probably know I am big fan of bamboo products, especially anything that is for the home and clothing. I have tried and love different bamboo products and once you try a piece of clothing made with bamboo, you will know why I am so pro bamboo fabrics. And also why I am Cariloha fan!
Did you know that Bamboo is more anti-bacterial than other fabrics. Most other fabrics are very absorbent, causing them to hold dampness in. Because bamboo wicks moisture away, it’s great for your circulation and skin, preventing over-heating or chills from trapped-in moisture….. It is probably one of the softest fabrics I have tried so far and is one of the reasons why I jump on any opportunity I have to try something new made out of bamboo.
While on a cruise a couple of years ago, I discovered Cariloha…Caribbean style and Hawaiian aloha were the inspiration behind Cariloha – a combination of the two words. With more than 20 years vacationing, working and serving in the Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands and the cruise ship ports throughout the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexican Rivera and Bahamas, the Cariloha team became steeped in the culture and lifestyle of the islands and the beachfront shopping experience… Cariloha offers a selection of clothing, accessories and of course bedding and bathing products for the entire family’s enjoyment.
We always stop by their store in Nassau (as well as their other island locations) to check what is new in their store when we are there and always fall in love with something new.

The products in the Cariloha catalog are very casual and inviting…talk about comfort and relax style and I must say I am all for that.
I was able to put together a cute, comfortable and great for spring and summer outfit all with Cariloha products.
Let us start with the bamboo-linen pants. I have always liked the look you achieve with the linen pants but have never been too crazy about the way the linen fabric feels to the touch. With the Cariloha bamboo-linen pants I get the best of both worlds as I can get the relaxed yet sophisticated look of the linen pants with the softness of the bamboo fabric.
The pants are crafted of 64% Linen / 19% Rayon from Bamboo / 17% Cotton. As a result, you get a pair of lightweight airy pants that are very comfortable and easy to wear. The pants feature a drawstring-tie waste, that allows you to play with the fit. They also have trendy front-patch pockets, and two button-closure rear pockets with the Cariloha bamboo branding on the horned buttons and tagging.
The smallest size the pants come in is a size 2 which in my case at a 134 bs worked really nice ( you can adjust the waist using the drawstring –tie on the waist). I did have to hem the pants as at my 5’, 2’ they were too long for me even with heels and besides, these pants look their best with flats, sandals or flip flops.
I Love the look and love the comfort of the pants. They are also very flattering and definitely a great addition to my spring/ summer wardrobe. The bamboo-linen pants have a retail price of $89.00.
I also picked the Bamboo Scoop Tee – Retro Hibiscus which features a super soft Tee that is probably my favorite right now. While the photo on the Cariloha website makes this shirt look like a baby blue color, the tee actually has a greenish tone and the front design print is kind of a mint color which makes a really nice contrast with the color of the tee.
The tee has a nice length so it will not show anything you do not want to show. I decided to go with the small size which fits nice and snug. If you like your tees a little loose then you might be better off with a size up. The Bamboo Scoop Tee – Retro Hibiscus has a retail price of $34.00 .
As part of this outfit I picked the Bamboo Beach Bag – Kaanapali. Cariloha has included a complete bags line this season making it very easy to accessorize with many of the different options in their catalog. The Kaanapali design is just perfect for this ensemble.
This oversized bag is great not only for the beach and pool, but also for every day wear. The Kaanapali Bamboo Beach Bag features a canvas exterior made with a 48% viscose from bamboo and a 52% cotton canvas. The bag is light weight and has a button closure flap on the top.
80% of the bag is a natural canvas color and the remaining 20% is a bright orange that contrasts really nice with the canvas.
Accented with metal hardware, the design is simple, clean and playful. The inside of the bag is lined with matching fabric and features a zipper pocket. There is a lot of space to bring along all your belongings. The Kaanapi bag has a retail price of $39.00.
The last piece of this casual yet trendy outfit is the Hanalei Bay sandals. These new Cariloha Bamboo sandals are very comfortable and they have the soft feel of bamboo for a luxurious feel.
The sandals feature a brown foot bed with the Cariloha branding and a canvas color strap. The straps are decorated with a flower print design with coral, brown and olive green flowers and a white stitching gingham design that are the perfect finishing touch for this outfit.
The colors on the sandals make them standout and also make them a great contrasting accessory for the whole outfit.

What fun! I would pair the Bamboo Skirt Schaffer (in Butter) with the Bamboo Tank (in Chocolate/Light Blue) and cover it with the Kyle Wrap (in Butter). Then I would wear the Bracelet Bamboo and Earring Bamboo Tear Shape (both in Burnt) and put the Hanalei Bay sandals on my feet! Voila!

Well I did not have to get very far into the web site to see some amazing clothes. In fact the first thing I saw was the 2-1 dress and decided right then to make a outfit of that. Accessorize it with Bamboo Lined Handbag – White/Orange Flowers; the Hanalei Bay sandals and top it off with a pair of earring in Bamboo Loop Medium Burnt. Really this outfit could go from wedding to beach!

I’d pick the bamboo scoop tee in white. I don’t have a plain white tee and keep meaning to get one. I’d pick the linen pants. They look super comfy. And I’d finish with the Sunset beach bag and Navy Coki sandals.
The Cariloha Bamboo Infinity Scarf in Caribbean Blue would make even the water seem bluer. It’s 70% viscose bamboo and 30% cotton so is versatile and good for the warmer weather. Plus it’s lightweight so would not be too much to wear when it’s hot outside.
